Why is capacitor required for a single phase motor?

Since as we all Know the Flux Generated by Stator after power supply makes the Rotor to Rotate(Faraday’s law). To Rotate the rotor completely the flux should be a Rotational flux, This Rotational flux can be achieved by 3 phase motor since the 3 phases are 120° current is out of phase from each other, So the Rotational flux is generated automatically in 3 phase motor once the power is given to it. This is not the case in single phase motor, The Single phase motor alone is not capable of producing the Rotational Flux due to it’s single winding. It only produces Stationery Flux. The Rotor will get locked and could not be able to rotate. So here comes our hero the Capacitor, This Capacitor helps the motor to create the Split Phase and helps to produce rotational flux.
